Editing Your Videos

After generating your video with Vidsue, you can make it even better by customizing various elements. This guide will show you how to edit your videos to perfectly match your vision.

Accessing the Video Editor

To begin editing your video:

  1. Go to your dashboard and find the video you want to edit
  2. Click on the video to open the preview
  3. Click the Edit button to enter the editing mode
  4. You'll see your video with various editing controls

Editing Subtitles

Subtitles make your videos more accessible and engaging. Here's how to customize them:

Changing Subtitle Text

If you notice any errors or want to change the wording:

  1. While in edit mode, look for the Edit Text button
  2. Click it to open the subtitle editor
  3. You'll see all your subtitles broken down by sections
  4. Click on any word or phrase you want to change
  5. Type your corrections
  6. Click Save Changes when you're finished

Pro Tip: Keep subtitles short and easy to read. Break long sentences into smaller chunks.

Customizing Subtitle Style

Make your subtitles match your brand or improve readability:

  1. Find the Configure Subtitles button in the editing panel
  2. Click it to open the subtitle style options
  3. You can change:
    • Text style (modern, classic, minimal, etc.)
    • Font color
    • Highlight color
    • Text case (uppercase, normal)
    • Text position (top, bottom, middle)
  4. Preview the changes in real-time
  5. Click Apply to save your style choices

Pro Tip: High contrast between text and background colors makes subtitles easier to read.

Changing Subtitle Position

You can move subtitles to avoid covering important parts of your video:

  1. In the subtitle style editor, look for the position options
  2. Choose where you want your subtitles to appear:
    • Bottom (default)
    • Top
    • Middle
  3. Preview how it looks with your video content
  4. Click Apply to save your changes

Replacing Assets

You can replace any image or video clip in your generated video:

Replacing Images or Video Clips

  1. Play your video until you see the image or clip you want to replace
  2. Click the Replace Asset button
  3. You'll have two options:
    • Upload a new file from your computer
    • Choose from your asset library
  4. For uploads:
    • Click Upload New
    • Select an image or video file from your device
    • The system will automatically process your file
  5. For library assets:
    • Click Library
    • Browse your personal assets or public assets
    • Click on the asset you want to use
  6. The new asset will replace the old one while maintaining the same timing

Pro Tip: When replacing assets, try to match the mood and style of your other video elements for a cohesive look.

Adjusting Asset Timing

If you want to change how long an asset appears:

  1. Currently, asset timing is linked to your script sections
  2. To adjust timing, you would need to modify your script sections
  3. Go back to the script editor to make these changes
  4. Regenerate the video with your adjusted script

Adding Music and Sound Effects

Enhance your video with audio elements:

  1. In the editing panel, look for the Music option
  2. Choose from a library of royalty-free music tracks
  3. Adjust the volume level to balance with your narration
  4. Preview how it sounds with your video
  5. Click Apply to add the music

Pro Tip: Choose music that matches the mood and pace of your video. Upbeat for promotional content, calm for instructional videos.

Finalizing Your Edits

When you've finished making all your changes:

  1. Click Preview to watch your edited video from start to finish
  2. Make any final adjustments as needed
  3. Click Render to create the final version with all your edits
  4. Wait for the rendering process to complete
  5. Your edited video will be saved to your dashboard
